Happy Wednesday and welcome to my weekly look at websites which I hope will inspire you to be creative.
This week I am looking at knitting and the UK Hand Knitting association.I have heard a lot from friends that knitting is a dying art, especially hand knitting but the UK Hand Knitting Association has been committed since 1991 to raising the profile of hand knitting through the twin aims of (1) teaching people how to knit and (2) showing them how relaxing it can be. They are rightly proud of the buzz around knitting at present.
This is a resource website where you can local groups to get involved in, causes to knit for and details on how you can get involved in taking knitting into schools through the National Craft Club initiative. They also support the Knitted Textile Awards, If you are interested, you have until 3rd July 2012 to enter.
