Jubilee Crafting – Alternative Colour Schemes

As my week of Jubilee Crafting comes to an end – I am looking at Alternative Colour Schemes to celebrate. The Jubilee just cries out for Red, White and Blue but the lovely thing about the Union Flag – is that it looks just as patriotic in other colour schemes.

Try swapping Red for other warm colours such as Orange, Pink, Light Purples or Yellow and try swapping the Blues for Cool colours such as Dark Purples or Greens. You can also use two shaded of one colour or colouring it in all in greys.

You can find a “Colour Your Own Union Jack” at Theme Traders, who also have some amazing other Jubilee and Olympic Craft Ideas.

Crafts 4 Eternity have a Royal Challenge this (and Cupcake Crafts are also still running their Royal Challenge), which is a perfect opportunity for me to play with alternative colour schemes.

A Card Perfect For your Princess

I used the diamond bling xoxo’s for added effect, I am going to save this card for my god-daughter who is 10 in August. She has a very patriotic Birthday in the making, she just doesn’t know it yet!

Stash Used

  • Union Jack – Theme Traders

Thanks for looking, this is my 127th Creative Project of 2012
