Sunday Book Club – Capture The Moment

Sorry I haven’t been posting as much as I would like at the moment but things with work are still as busy and threaten to be well in to August…

So I have sharing a review I completed for the Amazon Vine Programme on the book Capture The Moment, An Olympic Tie-In book on Sports Photography. We have a number of sets of Olympic and Paralympic Tickets and I am looking forward to putting the tips in here in to action

Sports Photography is a notoriously difficult field for the beginner or amateur to get to grips with. This book provides a clear and concise introduction to the skills and equipment needed to capture those action shots.

2012 is a big sporting year and this book has been published under the Olympic Banner and showcases many of the Olympic Sports as examples, including swimming, field and track as well as some more specialist areas such as archery.

Although the book focuses on hints and tips for making the picture happen with a DSLR and high-end kit, there are plenty of tips for those with smaller compacts but there are also lots of hints on framing your photos and getting the right composition which is just as important.

The book does explain that although this is published officially by the Olympics that it may not be possible to capture all of the shots in the book due to official restrictions but don’t let that put you off as there are still lots of skills packed into this little book which will be useful whenever you want to capture an action shot.

Thanks for Reading
