Like most UK bakers, I am loving the new series of “The Great British Bake Off” and like I have done over the last couple of years, when it gets to “Bread Week”, I tell myself that this is going to be the year I master bread… I love baking my cakes but I love the idea of a weekly bread bake.
So this year instead of just saying it, I decided to do something about and this just happens to coincide with Paul Hollywood’s new book “How to Bake”
This is a reassuringly big thick baking book with lots of help and pointers for making bread with the first 30 pages dedicated to Paul sharing a life time of hint and tips for the perfect bread.
All the recipes themselves are accompanied with simple but extremely mouth-watering photos and the instructions and both simple and logical.
It covers simple breads, sour doughs, enriched bakes, tarts, pies and cakes from around the world all clearly laid out and where needed, with step photos.
A perfect book for someone who wants to take their baking to the next level.
